There is no doubt in my mind that had HRC won she would have “walked back” ( yes I hate that phrase) some of the policy positions Bernie pushed her to. Most importantly the TransPacific Trade Partnership which would have been our most effective check on Chinese expansion and domination of Asia region.She also would have modified and improved the ACA rather than push Medicare for All; rationally tackled issue of soaring student debt, solidified NATO and other alliances against Russia, China and Iran and improved relations with Israel from Obama’s tenure , among other sensible rational things.
There would have been no AOC if HRC we’re President.Alas we’ll never know. Thanks to Comey (why does Trump nation hate him; he got Trump elected?) and of course the Russians, we’re stuck with Baghdad Don for at least a few more years.God help us all.Eric

ReplyDeleteHRC and Obama were responsible for Trump's election. HRC because she was tone-deaf and inept, refusing advice from Bill, one of the great politicians of our time. Obama, who beat HRC himself, not to realize her terrible shortcomings as a politician.
One columnist recently described how Trump is distinct from a "liar". The explanation is that he is a B.S.Artist. Cannot remember the line by line distinction, but Trump, BS Artist, is who he is, believing he can always create some sort of BS to fit any situation, and the BS is forthcoming whether there is a purpose for it or now. So much of his BS is just amazingly stupid, and he is like PT Barnum, looking for the sucker born every minute.
He will get elected again, because AOC and her cohort, or the guy from Amazon will splinter the opposition because of their own nutty egos. If nothing else Trump has scared his opponents in his party "almost" to a man, and he will keep that unity that will never happen with the Democrats. Mark Twain, I don't belong to an organized party, I am a Democrat, will come back to haunt the opposition.

Great points; however I believe it is a compliment to HRC to say she wasn’t a good politician. It’s too bad she was mortally would by Sanders attacks on her integrity.
